BMW of El Cajon's courtesy vehicles require all drivers to be at least 21 years of age with full coverage insurance and a major credit card. Our vehicles here at our El Cajon BMW dealer are not available for use outside of the state of California. Courtesy vehicles are complimentary for 24 hours. Additional rental days must be approved by the service advisor or rental fees will be applied at the amount of $50 per day. Courtesy vehicles are by reservation only. If a loaner vehicle is needed for a non-reservation, a loaner may be available based upon availability but is in no means guaranteed.
We here at BMW of El Cajon can only hold reserved loaner cars for up to 1 hour past the scheduled appointment time, otherwise they are considered a no show and the car will be loaned out to someone else. Any customer who does not return a courtesy vehicle within the guidelines of the return policy will be charged $50 a day until the vehicle is returned. Our BMW dealership serving San Diego, CA and all surrounding areas cannot be held liable for personal property left in customer vehicles or courtesy vehicles while in for service. Please ensure all valuables are removed prior to leaving in service or returning your courtesy vehicle.

Fuel Policy: Courtesy vehicles must be returned with the same level of fuel at time of rental. If the vehicle returns with less fuel, a fee of $5/ gallon will be charged to your credit card.
Smoking Policy: A cleaning fee of $150 will be charged to anyone who returns a BMW courtesy vehicle that has been smoked in.
Damage Policy: If a BMW courtesy vehicle is damaged while it is in your possession, you will be responsible for the cost of the repair. Damages include but are not limited to the following; unrepairable tires, damaged wheels, cracked windshields, and any and all body damage including scratches. You do have the option of paying out of pocket for repairs, or proceeding with an insurance claim with your insurance company. If you choose to file an insurance claim, you will need to submit all needed information to an alternate transportation advisor.
Return Policy: When an advisor calls to inform you of your cars completion your vehicle must be returned that same day by the end of the business day.
Shuttle Service: Shuttle service is also available for waiter repair services or for our customers who would prefer to not use a courtesy vehicle. When your vehicle is complete, we will gladly pick you up. Shuttle service runs daily from 7:00a.m.-5:30p.m. Please call 888-690-0685 and ask for Alternate Transportation to arrange a shuttle.
